The city, which will be opened in 1968, will handle about 150,000 tons of benzine a year and will produce insecticides, chemical drugs, paints, chemical cleaners, plastics, rubber and nylon. Meanwhile, Alexandria University has decided to establish petro-chemical departments at the Faculties of Engineering and Science.
