i Poster Demand In D jakarta (N.Z P A. Heater—Copyright) DJAKARTA, April 19. Posters have appeared in Djakarta streets demanding (vengeance for the imprisonment and death of the first [Premier of the Republic (Su tan Sjahrir). Mr Sjahrir, aged 57. died of a brain hemorrage in Switzerland on April 9. He will be accorded a state funeral in the national heroes' cemetery in Djakarta today. Mr Sjahrir first fell ill in gaol, where he was held as a political prisoner from 1962 to 1965. Dr. Subandrio, former first deputy premier and Foreign Minister, himself now in gaol, is being blamed for this. The posters appearing today read “Sjahrir was the victim of Subandrio’s cruelty and the people demand vengeance.”
