Fire In Flock Factory
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 8. A fire in a processing factory belonging to New Zealand Flock and Textiles, Ltdin Petone yesterday caused thousands of pounds of damage but no injury to personnel. When the first of three fire engines arrived, the factory was well ablaze. The interior of the building suffered considerable damage, and bales of jute rags, flock, and other materials smouldered long after the fire had been brought under control.
