Punch Before Bikini Girl
(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter —Copyright) LONDON.
A Punch-and-Judy show was chosen in preference to a bikini girl for posters to advertise the holiday attractions of Rhyl, a seaside town in North Wales, “It is a far more attractive picture showing happy children enjoying themselves, than any pin-up-girl,” explained Cr. Harry Parry, Rhyl’s publicity chairman.
“Men look twice at a pretty girl on a poster, but it is usually the wife who decides where the family will spend their holiday.”
