Points In Heats

The first four placed horses in the heats of the New Zealand Trotting Championship and the Royal Easter Cup will earn qualifying points for the finals, to be run at Addington Raceway on Saturday, April 23.

The winner of each heat will receive four points, the second horse three, the third horse two and the fourth horse one. An additional three points will be awarded to the horse finishing in the first four recording the fastest time in each heat. In the event of dead-heats or more than one horse recording the same time, the points will be divided equally among them. Handicaps for all the heats and the finals have already been declared and wins in the heats cannot change handicaps in the finals. The ordinary handicap assessments of horses on 2:10 and faster will not be affected by wins in heats or the finals, but horses on slower marks will be eligible to be rehandicapped after the meeting.

SEATS available on rail-car travelling to Greymouth for Night Trotting meetings and returning after last race. Ring 39-758 for bookings.
