INDONESIA SEEKS AID
Japan Expected To Comply

The new Indonesian regime of General Suharto had asked the Japanese Government for emergency economic aid, official sources said in Tokyo today, the “Financial Times” reported from the Japanese capital. Japan is expected to comply with the request. The request for aid was made 10 days ago, soon after General Suharto had taken over political power from President Sukarno, according to the report. The Japanese Prime Minister, Mr Sato, considered the request himself last week.
