(Land Survey Division) or a licence to practise as a Land Surveyor in Canada, Australia. New Zealand or South Africa, or a degree in Land Surveying from a recognised University with a minimum of 12 months’ post graduate experience or a degree in Geography or suitable allied subject from a recognised University together with a successful pass in the 12 months’ survey course at Newbury. Experience in carrying out land surveys particularly cadastral surveys in a tropical country would be an advantage. The officer appointed will take charge of a Divisional Survey Branch under the direction of a Divisional Superintendent of Lands and Surveys, and may be called upon to act for or take on the duties of a Divisional Superintendent under direction from Headquarters. The appointment will be on contract for one tour of 2/3 years in the first instance. Salary will be in the scale £1731-£2905 pa., according to experience, plus 25 per cent gratuity on satisfactory completon of contract.
