Long Wait For Aid

(N.Z. Press Association) GORE, March 16. A young man injured in a tractor accident yesterday lay for what was understood to be 11 hours before assistance reached him. He is Stewart Harrington, son of Mr and Mrs J. W. Harrington, of Greenvale, who was in the Gore Hospital today with a fractured pelvis and leg. His condition was reported to be fair.

It is believed that the accident occurred as Mr Harrington was on his way out to work on a back-country section early yesterday. When he had not returned late in the afternoon a search was made.

On his discovery an ambulance was called from Gore, but it broke down on the way to Greenvale. A Maitland fanner lent the ambulance men a station waggon, in which Mr Harrington was brought out.
