Trinity College Awards
The Trinity College of Music, London, has announced exhibition awards to P. M. Driver, Christchurch (grade six, pianoforte); Glenys Black. Christchurch (grade four, speech), and P. J. Henderson, Timaru (grade five, pianoforte). Three awards are made to the South Island each year for the highest honours mark in any of the grades four to eight. The winner of an exhibition award may be referred to as an exhibitor of Trinity College of Music, London.
Collapsed. The Maori actor, Bob Hirini, aged 40, collapsed during last night’s performance of “Porgy and Bess” in Perth and was rushed to hospital. Hirini suffered internal bleeding, but his condition is comfortable.— Perth, March 3.
