STRONG ARM METHODS

Vicar Fights Immorality

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Feb. 25. The Rev. Donald Gibson is determined to continue his fight against immorality in Numurkah, 133 miles north of Melbourne, in spite of growing opposition to his methods.

Mr Gibson, aged 36, who has already thrashed three boys aged between 13 and 14 for alleged drunkenness, will “repeat the dose” if necessary, he said. He intends to reveal more cases of teen-age vice from the pulpit of St. George’s Anglican Church on Sunday. Mr Gibson has told his congregation that he is “determined to rid the town of teen-age immorality, drunkenness and filthy, suggestive talk.”
