PLAYER 5-UP ON NICKLAUS
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright > PORT ELIZABETH. The South African, Gary Player, and Jack Nicklaus (United States) halved the third match in their 108-hole champions golf series yesterday. Each returned one-under-par 73 after the South African had led by three strokes at the end of the first nine holes. Player leads by five strokes in the six-match series after winning Wednesday’s match, 75 to 70. The first match was halved.
