MR TENNENT TO RETIRE
(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON N., Feb. 13. Mr W. B. Tennent, member of Parliament for Manawatu, will not be a candidate in this year’s General Election. Mr Tennent said he had decided to retire and had informed the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) of his decision. Mr Tennent entered Parliament in 1949, representing Palmerston North until 1954. Since 1957 he has represented Manawatu. He is a former Minister of Education.
