Soccer And Cricket
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The Wellington batsman, G. P. Bilby, by his selection in the cricket team to play England, has joined the select band of sportsmen who have represented New Zealand In two sports. The 24-year-old opening batsman has also played for New Zealand at soccer. He is the second soccer and cricket international since the Second World War, the other being K. Hough, of Auckland. Bilby went on the New Zealand soccer team’s world tour and last year captained the under-23 side.
