INDUCTION CEREMONY

New Methodist Minister

The Rev. A. R. Bowden was inducted to the ministry of the Central Mission at a service in the Cambridge Terrace Methodist Church on Wednesday evening. The superintendent (the Rev. W. E. Falkingham) presided, and the Rev. S. Dawson, of the Durham Street Methodist Church, delivered the induction charge. Mr Bowden, who will be associate minister at the Central Mission, graduated froni Trinity Theological College. Auckland, last year. During his training he undertook special courses in counselling at the Mount Eden and Mount Crawford prisons. He has specialised in pastoral counselling. Before his arrival in Christchurch last week he was married. Mr and Mrs Bowden were welcomed at Friendship House after the induction service.
