PRIVATE BUS OPERATORS IN LONDON.—In many areas, London’s familiar red buses are being joined, or replaced, by buses in different colours. These are being run by private operators on routes where London Transport services have been withdrawn because of the busmen’s overtime ban. Dozens of London Transport routes have been affected by the unofficial ban. A London Transport bus is shown overtaking one of the private buses (blue and cream) being run by Super Coaches, a private company based at Upminster on the eastern outskirts of London.
