The Otago leg-break bowler, J. C. Alabaster, is not available for consideration for New Zealand teams this season.
Alabaster, who is in Christchurch with the Otago Plunket Shield team, will be studying at the University of Canterbury this year. He said yesterday that he would not be playing in the final round of senior club matches in Christchurch this season.
