Identification
Fanners selling rams at the Canterbury flock ram fair this week used a number of different materials to help to identify their sheep. Among these were paint, lipstick, coloured wool threads, and coloured raffia tied in the ear-tag. One rather effeclive method of identification was the marking of the tip of the ear in a distinctive colour.
