TOO MANY OLD CARS

There are many very old cars on New Zealand roads—more than 93,000 cars more than 25 years old at the end of last year, according to the statistics in the 1965 “New Zealand Motor Trade Yearbook.” The yearbook says there were nearly 18,000 cars more than 28 years old on New Zealand roads at that time, and 103,924 more than 20 years old. Cars more than 10 years old numbered 279,585, and those more than five years old 456,118.
