GARDENING PRIZES

Horticultural Society Mr F. E. Rooney, of 162 Condell avenue, won the New Zealand Institute of Architects’ Challenge Cup in the design, harmony, and arrangement class th the special section of the annual garden competitions organised by the Canterbury Horticultural Society. Mr Rooney also won the R. T. Tosswill Memorial Trophy for most points in any section. He entered the novice section.
