Shark Victim’s Mother Dies

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 9. Mrs L. J.' Keightley, the mother of the New Plymouth shark victim, Rae Marion Keightley, died in her New Plymouth home last night, one month to the day after her daughter was killed by a shark at Oakura beach. Mrs Keightley, formerly Miss Doris Henrietta Ayson, was married about 16 years ago and had lived in New Plymouth all her life. She was 45. Before the Oakura tragedy Mrs Keightley was a keen golfer and was secretary of the Westown Women’s Golf Club in New Plymouth.
