Trend Is Steady On More Active Market
Trading followed a steady trend yesterday for both overseas and Ne wZealand issues. Australian and New Zealand leaders were also almost in balance.
Zip Holdings, traded on the official list for the first time, changed hands in Wellington at the placement price of 14s. Closing quotations in Christchurch were: buy, 14s; sell, 14s 3d. Zip are five units. Dominion Breweries rose 3d to 17s Id. Enzlon recovered another Id to 2s Bd, while Autocrat, Fletcher, New Zealand Newspapers and Rothmans again advanced.
Upward moves by Australian stocks were narrow. Bank of New South Wales New Zealand register, Ansett, G. J. Coles, Woolworths and Broken Hill South were among the gains
