Meter Maid.—Rotorua will have a permanent Maori meter rpaid. At a meeting of the executive of the Rotorua Retailers’ Association it was decided to employ Miss June Northcroft, aged 17, one of the city’s meter maids, full time. Members made this move because of the great success of the meter maid project over the festive season when two girls were employed to put coins in expired meters to avoid prosecutions. —(PA.)
