A.l. Cup competition: W. H. Rutherford (Hanmer Springs), Cavalier, 1: Denise Pratt (Ellesmere), Judy, 2; Morwenna Alltn (Kalapol), Flyaway, 3; Julia Hutton (Bangor), Lovaly Clover, 4.
D.C. trophy competition: Mary Watkinson (Riccarton-Fendal-ton), Aqaba, 1; Peter Thompson (Waihora). Flyaway, 2: Kathryn Waters (Ferrymead), Master Simon. 3; Katherine Rutherford (Hanmer Springs), Dick Whittington, 4. The riders who qualified to represent the area as a team at the New Zealand Pony Clubs' championships are: W. H. Rutherford, Mary Watkinson. Peter Thompson, and Kathryn Waters.
