PETERMAN SPELLING
■"The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. The leading three-year-old, Peterman, has returned to the farm of his owner, Mr F. C. Johnstone, at Watawata, for a short spell. Mr Johnstone said at Ellerslie yesterday that Peterman came through his Trentham races in great heart. He thought it unlikely that Peterman would race again until the Wellington autumn meeting next month. It was probable, said Mr Johnstone, that Peterman would run at Trentham in the North Island Challenge Stakes as a preliminary to the New Zealand St. Leger.
