C.M.L. Business Sets Record

A record year of new business by the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society, Ltd., is reported by the New Zealand manager (Mr R. P. Martell).

In Australian currency, the society’s new sums assured for 1965 totalled £272,587,000, which exceeded the 1964 figures by more than £26m. For the first time in the society’s history new ordinary department annual premiums approach £7m and new accident premiums were just under £400,000, both well ahead of the previous records established in 1964. The New Zealand branch shared in these results with Dominion records in all spheres, the new ordinary department annual premiums being almost 14 per cent above 1964.
