Week-end Burglaries And Thefts From Cars
Eight burglaries and five thefts from cars were reported to the police during the week-end. Thieves forced a window of K. F. Meates and Company’s Kilmore street premises during the week-end and took property valued at £lO 15s. A house in Gilberto orpes road was entered during the week-end and 30s was taken.
After getting into a house in Colombo street through a fanlight, thieves took a radio valued at £2O.
A shop in Riccartan road was entered during the weekend and cigarettes and chocolates valued at £25 were taken. A watch valued ait £8 and £2O in money were taken from a Maidan street house on Sunday after thieves had got in through an unlocked door. Deans Ltd., 192 St. Asaph street, was entered on Sunday and £2 9s in money was taken. The premises of Cookes New Zealand Wire Rope Company Ltd., Casson street, were entered during the weekend and £9 8s Id was taken.
The cafeteria at Radley Mills Ltd., Cumnor terrace, was also entered during the
week-end and £1 7s 6d was taken. A radio and a wallet of a total value of £46 were taken from a car parked in Armagh street last Thursday.
Petrol vouchers worth £lO were taken from a car parked in Purchas street and £4 6s was taken from a taxi parked outside the Lancaster Park Hotel. A battery charger valued at £29 was taken from a car parked in Walton street. A guitar and amplifier valued at £4O were taken on Saturday morning from a car parked in Golf Links road.
