Obituary
MRS R. A. JACKSON Mrs Rangi Annette Jackson, who died recently in her ninetieth year, was a tireless worker for the Christchurch Central Mission. For the last 13 years she spent part of every day making comforts or clothing for the needy. Most of them went into Christmas parcels distributed by the mission to old folk and deprived families. But whenever an emergency arose in her district, she could always find clothing or other requirements for those in distress. Mrs Jackson also sent large quantities of clothing to overseas relief organisations such as C.0.R.5.0. and the Save the Children Fund. For many years she was organist at the New Brighton Methodist Church and in her younger days was a Sunday School teacher. After her marriage to the late Mr W. W. Jackson in Invercargill, they lived in several parts of the North Island before coming to Christchurch. Mrs Jackson lived in her home at Seaview road. New Brighton, for 37 years. She is survived by one daughter. Miss Kay Jackson.
