STEEL MILL SITE
Levelling To Start Today •f (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 17. Work will begin tomorrow on levelling 65 acres at Glenbrook, Waiuku, for the main plant of the New Zealand steel works. The mammoth task, which will involve moving 320,000 cubic yards of earth, is expected to take four months.
Most of the material will be used as compacted fill to make a level site. The construction of the works buildings is expected to start later in the year.
