REPRINTS AND NEW EDITIONS
Professional Education for Social Work in Britain. By Marjorie J. Smith. Allen and Unwin, 114 pp. This account of the early development of professional education for social workers in Britain by the late Professor Marjorie Smith was originally published in pamphlet form but has been out of print for some years. The brief history is supplemented by some of the addresses given to the Charity Organisation Society at the turn of the century. Those concerned with the establishment of professional standards and education for social workers will find this collection of historical documents useful.
