Shark Seen In River

(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI, Jan. 7. A shark estimated to be more than 6ft long was sighted close to the western wall well inside the mouth of the river at the Patea Beach yesterday evening. A warning was immediately issued to swimmers in Mana Bay. A large number of sharks has been caught in recent weeks by boats fishing off the Patea coast.
