Only Hole Not Supplied

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, January 6

More than a crankshaft has arrived to replace a crankshaft which broke recently in the generator of the picket ship U.S.S. Calcaterra. Her engineers sought a new crankshaft and from Philadelphia has arrived a whole new generator weighing eight tons. The generator will be manouevred through a hole to be cut in the side of the ship on Monday. This will be the second time a hole has been cut in the Calcaterra’s side since she has been at Dunedin this season. A damaged boiler had to be replaced last October.
