THIS SPREYDON FOUR provided one of the surprises of (he fours championship when they won their first eight games to qualify for the post-section play. Shown at the Beckenham green yesterday arc W. J. Howatson (skip). H. Berry. C. W. Bull, and R. W. Fehsenfeld. Howatson is one of the few players in the tournament using wooden bowls. He has a set of Jaques bowls which are more than 60 years old.
