Gramel finished behind the pacers' Inter-Dominion winner. Minuteman, and Tankard, which ran second. The race was run over 12 furlongs and 206 yards With a lap to go Gramel came from last, 36 yards behind Minuteman, to be beaten by a ahort head and three yards.
