Assured Of Welcome

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 22. The singer, Kiri Te Kanawa, is assured of a warm welcome from New Zealanders in London when she arrives in early February. The New Zealand High Commissioner in London, Sir Thomas Macdonald, said in a letter: “We have already heard that she is a talented person. Rest assured we shall give her a warm welcome and do what we can to assist her in her career.”

The Wellington Town Hall has been booked for February 5 for Miss Te Kanawa’s final appearance in New Zealand.
