Driver Injured In Collision

The driver of one car was admitted to hospital after two cars collided at the intersection of Poyntzs road and South Eyre road, West Eyreton, on Tuesday morning. Both cars were extensively damaged, and the driver of the car travelling in Poyntzs road, Robert Hunt, of Cust, was taken by the Rangiora St. John ambulance to a Rangiora doctor and later to the Princess Margaret Hospital, with head and chest injuries. His condition was reported as fairly satisfactory.

The driver of the second car, which was travelling in South Eyreton road, Alfred Arthur Cubitt, of 37 Chancellor street, Shirley, suffered minor injuries.
