Full accounts of Waitaki Farmers’ Freezing Company, Pukeuri, show consolidated net profit of £164,229 for the 11 months to October 1. Latest result is after £87,693 depreciation and undisclosed tax.
It compares with last year’s profit of £145,370 —before consolidation —in the year to October 31, 1964. 12 p.c. Dividend
Dividend fqy the year is 12 per cent, on capital raised by a one-for-five bonus issue, and needs £91,901, Last year’s 121 Per cent dividend took £79,225. Profit from processing, manufacturing, trading and other receipts, less administration expenses and financial charges, after tax and contingencies, was £233,286. Income from investments was £20,969. Transfer to general reserve is £50,000. There is also a transfer of £23,000 to the buildings reserve. During the year £23,000 from the parent company building reserve was used for the bonus issue. An appropriation of £2593 was also made towards the bonus issue. Carry-forward is £110,547.
