Travelling In Hope

Walting in the wings for the chance to compete in the New Zealand bowls championships in Christchurch on December 27 will be one of Wellington’s strongest combinations, led by C. Simon. The four sent in an entry for the tournament but it went astray in the post. Although they have since been accepted for the singles and are first emergencies for the pairs, they will have to chance that one of the fours sections is expanded and their entry accepted. Wellington has lost one of its best chances of gaining the fours title as this four, comprising Simon, W. J. Newman, J. Grimes and F. Senior, has established an excellent reputation.
