A 26-year-old Australian workman was committed to the Supreme Court for trial at the completion of a lower court hearing of a manslaughter charge in Invarcargill toThe workman is Barry Gordon Grant, who ia charged with the manalaughter of a married fanner, Terence James Burnett Ryley, who died in Dunedin Hospital from injurioa be suffered in a fight outride the Las Vegas restaurant in Invercargill. The fight occurred in the early hours of the morning of November 21. Ryley died that afternoon. Five men were involved in tbe fight Ryley and his two brothers fought Grant and a Fourteen witnesses wore called by tbe prosecution. The Lower Court hearing lasted a day and whrif. The chara was heard by Mr W. M. WUBs, SJt Mr P. M. Gelt appeared for Grant and DetecttwvSergeent E. R. Troon prosecuted. Grant pleaded not gußty at the completion of the Lower vuun nearing.
