INVERCARGILL. The novice galloper. Joy Flight, took the honours at Invercargill yesterday morning when she reeled off a dashing five-furlong trial on a dead track In a solo run Joy Flight ran out the distance in lmin 4 3-Seec, the last half in SO 1-5 sec, an outstanding run. The course proper was open with the poles to 30 feet.
The two-year-old. Gars (Bellborough—Listen) and Western Gale, sprinted home from the half-mile in 54sec. Ronda and Soncerai went away of Town Crier from the mile and a quarter, and the trio finished in line, with Town Crier and Ronda under firm holds. They ran in from the six In lmin 27 4-ssec. the last half in 53 4-ssec and the last three in 38sec Bellbridge dashed over five furlongs in lmin 5 2-ssec, the first three in 38sec and the last half in 51sec, and it was little effort for him. He will strip a very fit runner for his Dunedin engagements.
