The work comprises 1900 feet of control weir and associated stilling basin, constructed of asphaltic grouted gabions, and rip-rap rock. It involves the construction of some 19.299 square yards of gabion mattresses, the pouring of 1469 tons of asphaltic grouting the placement of 11.899 cubic yards of rockwork and the driving of 24 tons of sheet piling. Contract documents may be obtained from the office of the Board on the payment of £5 deposit which will be refunded to a bona fide tenders.
