Impostor Remanded

(N Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, Dec. 21. John Martin Jackson, also known as Murray Beresford Roberts, was further remanded to Tokanui Psychiatric Hospital when he appeared in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court this morning. Remanding Jackson, who appeared on a charge of falsely representing himself as a medical practitioner, Mr Stewart Hardy, S.M n said be was doing so in Jackson's own interest. Jackson was remanded ’o the hospital until March 2, for a report. Jackson was charged in Hamilton last month after posing as a London brain surgeon on leave for 12 months and holidaying in New Zealand.

He pleaded guilty at the hearing and was remanded by the Magistrate to Tokanui Hospital for one month’s observation. He escaped from Tokanui last Friday and was captured in Takapuna on Sunday.
