MOORLAND MURDERS
Two Committed For Trial (N Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright/ HYDE (Cheshire), Dec. 21. The moors murder case entered its second stage today when a 27-year-old clerk and his 23-year-old blonde girlfriend were committed for trial. After 11 days of prosecution evidence, the Magistrates decided there was a prima facie case against lan Brady and Myra Bindley. Both are accused of the murder of a 10-year-old, Lesley Ann Downey, whose body was found in a moorland grave, and of Edward Evans, a 17-year-old apprentice. Brady is also accused of the murder of 12-year-old John Kilbride, whose body was also found on the moors, and Bindley of harbouring him knowing he had killed Kilbride.
