Rhodesia
Sir.—By gad, sir, the Trews, Vicarses, and “Matabeles” are right. The blacks In Rhodesia have steadfastly refused to take a leading part, financially and politically, in the development of the country. With the greatest contumaoity, they have elected to remain black, poor, ignorant, and moat deplorably unEnglish. It is only reasonable to demand that, until the natives get cracking, and change their colour and low financial and educational status, they should continue to occupy a deservedly inferior position. Let them study our achievements, notably the last war, which put up a record, and the assassination of Kennedy, a milestone in the development of an advanced democracy. Finally, by gad, sir, Wilson should be publicly horsewhipped.—Yours, etc., J. DUGDALE. December 21, 1965.
