COMMERCIAL Recoveries Lift N.Z. Issues As Week Opens

Recoveries by New Zealand issues yesterday gave a lift to trading at the start of the last week before Christinas, but overseas stocks followed an easier trend. Dominion Breweries moved up Id to 16s lid, Tui Breweries 6d to 6s 6d and New Zealand Refining 6d to 32s 6d. Among the recoveries, New Zealand Refrigerating dividend deferred rose 4d to 10s 3d, Consolidated Plastics 3d to 41s 3d, Enzlon Id to 3s 7d, Fletchers 5d to 18s 4d, Golden Bay 3d to 13s 9d, L. D. Nathan Id to 20s 4d and Motor Specialties Id to 13s 4d. National Bank of New Zealand recovered 6d to 56s 6d and Woolworths rights rose. E.Z. Industries lost 6d more to 18s 9d and G. J. Coles 2d to 12s. Ampol fell 3|d to 7s 7|d and the 1967 notes 3d to 6s 4d. 8.H.P., Cox Brothers and Woolworths also eased.
