Manhunt In Victoria ttt.Z Press Assn—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Dec. 20. Police hunting two gaol escapers who yesterday shot and killed a gaol warder during a daring escape were today concentrating their search in the Ballarat area of Victoria, about 75 miles from Melbourne.
Horrified Sunday drivers saw the two prisoners shoot gaol warder. George Hodson, aged 41. in a busy street outside the main gates of Pentridge Prison, Melbourne's maximum security gaol. Hodson died in the centre of the North Coburg tram tracks as his killers ran past his body and escaped in an abandoned car.
