AUCKLAND. Glen Direct has been racing so consistently that he is entitled to favouritism in the President's Handicap, the second leg of the T.A.B. double at the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting, at Alexandra Park tonight. In his last six starts Glen Direct has gained two firsts, three seconds and a third. He has drawn No. 4 and should be well placed all the way. There are three horses from the South Island engaged. They are Central Range. Colours Flying and Grande Garniaon. A Brilliant workout at Pukekohe 'on ' Thursday has also brought Caught Napping into favour, but he has drawn the second row. There is every prospect of a great race in the first leg. the Pezaro Memorial. The local idol. Great Adlos. is almost certain to be a warm favourite but there will be solid support for the southern visitors Orbiter. Gay Robin. Garcon d'Or and Robin Dundee.
