Eight Injured In Road Accidents In City
An elderly pedestrian, M G. Cooke, of 12 Cottrell streesuffered head injuries whe he was hit by a car near th corner of Bath and Colomb streets about 5.45 p.m. yes terday. He was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital. A passenger, Mr A L Talbot, of 21 Lansbury avenue, suffered minor injuries in a collision between two cars at the corner of Watford and Hawthorne streets at 6.20 p.m. Mrs F. B. Rate, of 27 Halberg street, suffered only slight injuries in a collisior between two cars on the cor ner of Avonside drive an< Gloucester street at 7.50 p.m Two young women were in jured in a collision between a cycle and power-cycle at the corner of Proctor and Wynd ham streets about 8 p.m. Miss G. D. McGillivray, of 2 Fergusson avenue, was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital with bead and arm injuries. Miss O. Buchanan, of 13 Greenwood street, suffered minor injuries. Miss H. A Shaw, of 79 St. Martins road, suffered minor injuries in a collision between two car* at the corner of Colombo and Salisbury streets about 10.45 am.
At 12.55 pm. two cars were extensively damaged in a collision on the corner of Montreal and Gloucester street*. A passenger in one of the cars suffered slight injuries. Mr James Blackbock, of 43
McGregor's road, suffered head injuries when the motorycle he was riding and a ar collided at the corner of '•urdale street and Picton venue. He was admitted to he Princess Margaret Hospial.
