DECISION MADE
Malloy Gets Ticket The former Auckland amateur. F. A. Malloy, and the Professional Golfers’ Association, have now settled their differences. Malloy, who recently turned professional and has been playing on this year's circuit, will receive his professional ticket in time to qualify as a money-winner in the New Zealand professional tournament at Mount Maunganui on January 6-8. It is understood that a previous application by Malloy for his professional ticket had failed to get a seconder because he was unable to give an undertaking he would work in employment associated with golf. At that time he was employed in a printing works in Auckland and did not want to give up that job. The £2OOO sponsored tournament at Mount Maunganui. which will incorporate the New Zealand professional championship, will be played over 72 holes. Missing from the starters will be the big three of this year’s professional circuit—P. W. Thomson, K. D. G. Nagle and R. J. Charles.
