The crippled 7201-ton Greek freighter Constants was towed into Brest today after springing a leak in heavy seas west of Ireland last Thursday. Three of her crew of 29 were washed overboard when they unsuccessfully tried to lower lifeboats to abandon ship. Two were later found dead and the third was reported to have been picked up by a British ship. Five ships, including the liner Queen Mary, raced to the aid of the Constantis after her distress signals.
