Trying For Tour Places

Five members of the New Zealand squad—Misses P. Moore, A. Giles, P. Bladder, J. Stead and J. Whltte—ore included in the Canterbury women’s cricket team to play for the HallyburtonJohnstone Shield at Auckland. The New Zealand team to tour England, beginning in March, will be chosen on January 9, toe day after toe tournament ends.

The Canterbury team is: P. Moore (captain), J. Olaon, P. Bladder, M. Lawson, A. Giles, K. Pyatt, J. Stood, J. Watson, J. Wbitte, K. Wilkinson, O. Williams, A. Matins and J. Wilson. Miss J. Edmonds was selected but withdrew.
